ABOUT THIS PROJECT:
Schools can create an elaborate entrance with terrazzo. At Jennie Moore Elementary School, Doyle Dickerson Terrazzo installed 1,990 square feet of epoxy terrazzo at a 1,000 grit polish. The main entrance is a sight to see, with a beautifully-designed floor welcoming students and faculty each day.
Completed in June 2015, the school is seeking to obtain LEED Silver certification. For this terrazzo project, Doyle Dickerson Terrazzo completed the floor using recycled glass material as well as other beautiful aggregates such as Mother of Pearl and Italian Botticino.
Terrazzo is known not only for its beauty but also for its durability and low maintenance. In the future, visitors of this school will look back at the terrazzo design as if it was as new as the day it was installed. Terrazzo brings out the best in flooring and will help facilitate greater a greater learning environment for all who attend Jennie Moore Elementary School
