ABOUT THIS PROJECT:

This beautiful terrazzo project in Western Florida brings sustainability and modern design to the forefront of South Bay Hospital’s entrance and building’s hallways. Doyle Dickerson Terrazzo installed 1,507 square feet of epoxy terrazzo flooring at 1/4″ thickness.  Upon entering the building, patients and visitors will gaze upon an immaculate terrazzo design. Using white zinc strips, the installers created a unique geometric pattern that sits in the center of the hospital’s lobby. The terrazzo floor consists of four distinct epoxy colors consisting of natural marble chips, post-consumer white glass chips, and even Mother of Pearl, all grind and polished at an 800 grit level. The terrazzo helps transform the hospital to meet today’s design standards in terms of creating a customer-centric environment as well as address today’s shift towards using environmentally and economical materials.
