ABOUT THIS PROJECT:
Farrell Hall at Wake Forest University was designed to be the home for future undergraduate and graduate students for its Schools of Business. The interior of the building meets LEED certified standards, using sustainable materials for its roof, windows and floors. Doyle Dickerson Terrazzo installed 3/8″ epoxy terrazzo at 14,150 square feet. Precast terrazzo tread and riser combos help navigate students to upper floor levels. The timeless design and durable floors intends to provide a collaborative space where students and faculty can engage together daily. These vast improvements will have a positive impact on a student’s ability to learn and an instructor’s ability to teach. Sustainable features not only contribute to the long term affect it has on the planet, but also helps universities save on operation costs.
