ABOUT THIS PROJECT:

7,489 square feet of epoxy terrazzo flooring was installed by Doyle Dickerson Terrazzo at the College of Osteopathic Medicine at Campbell University. The state-of-the-art facility enhances student learning by providing future pharmacists with new study rooms, clinical exam rooms, classrooms and laboratories. Doyle Dickerson Terrazzo installed precast terrazzo tread and riser combo staircases as an alternative to the elevator. Both the staircase and terrazzo flooring come with a lifelong durability that no other flooring option can match. The incandescent terrazzo floors were created at a 800 grit level. The mix design uses a variety of epoxy colors ranging from blue, orange, gray and white. Recycled glass aggregates like one sided mirror and clear glass were combined with natural blue gray or white aggregates. As a terrazzo contractor, Doyle Dickerson Terrazzo works with architects and general contractors in developing a mix design that meets LEED certified requirements.
