ABOUT THIS PROJECT:

As college students proceed with their day-to-day life, they can stop by the Troy University dining hall for a bite to eat. The dining hall mixes day lighting with terrazzo floors to create an inviting and relaxing space for its students. Doyle Dickerson Terrazzo completed this project using epoxy that matches with the university’s colors. Sustainable aggregates like recycled red glass and mocha marble chips combine with the epoxy to design an appealing floor. Some of the highlights for this project include the Troy University logo, one located at the bottom of a set of precast terrazzo stairs and the other featured in the main dining hall lobby. Each logo is designed differently, showing terrazzo’s design flexibility.
