ABOUT THIS PROJECT:

The Suffolk Municipal Center combined existing departments into one building. Incorporating sustainable features like terrazzo flooring, the center is a shining example of a government center for the future. The modern look consists of a luxurious precast terrazzo staircases and terrazzo floor, made with multiple epoxy resin colors. Using a 100 grit polish level, the floor consists of both natural marble chips and recycled glass in its design. A detailed terrazzo design of the city’s seal is customized with zinc divider strips. The professionals at Doyle Dickerson Terrazzo uses a water jet machine to cut out precise graphics to include in the design. For many government centers, terrazzo is a welcomed addition that will last for the lifetime of the building.
