ABOUT THE TERRAZZO FLOORS AT MARION PERFORMING ARTS CENTER:
The Marion Performing Arts Center is a 25,000 square foot facility, designed as a performance center for the entire Marion School District. Doyle Dickerson Terrazzo installed epoxy terrazzo in the building’s main lobby. For this project, the architect’s created a perpendicular terrazzo design in which the lines are curved slightly across the lobby’s floor. The architects chose two colors, gray and white, present in both the epoxy and aggregates. As a center designed to welcome the local community, the terrazzo is a high-finished surface that offers durability, design, and sustainability in cooperation with other architectural elements found inside the building.
