ABOUT THE TERRAZZO FLOORS AT SOUTHWEST GEORGIA REGIONAL AIRPORT:
Sustainable buildings have long-term benefits. Considering that sustainable elements use less energy and resources, commercial properties like the Southwest Georgia Regional Airport can save money over time. A cost-effective option such as terrazzo flooring can provide a durable, beautiful, and easy-to-maintain surface that most flooring options cannot offer to architects and contractors alike.
Doyle Dickerson Terrazzo installed 13,725 square feet of 3/8″ epoxy terrazzo for this airport project. The project also includes 810 linear feet of 6″ precast cove bases used for art displays and columns. Architects can create efficient designs with terrazzo. Whether the design supports local imagery or serves as navigational guides, terrazzo is becoming increasingly resourceful for airport projects.
Today the airport is an atmosphere designed to attract passengers to fly from Albany, Georgia. The aesthetic upgrade makes a difference. Terrazzo is a “must-have” material for facilities that are going to last for many years.
