ABOUT THE TERRAZZO FLOORS AT NORTHWEST ARKANSAS REGIONAL AIRPORT:

Northwest Arkansas Regional Airport takes off with its plan to include sustainable elements throughout the concourse and restrooms of its facility. With 1,242 square feet of terrazzo poured in place, Doyle Dickerson Terrazzo assures that regional airport will astonish travelers with the new upgrades. Today travelers can see the new terrazzo floors at the airport’s entrances, restrooms, and lobby area.

At a 100 grit level polish, four epoxy resin colors and a mixture of Mother of Pearl, recycled glass, and golden brown pebbles make up the terrazzo design. The entire floor comes with a moisture mitigation system. A moisture mitigation system reduces the risk of vapors diffusing from the floor and affecting the overall air quality. By installing terrazzo floors, the airport has a floor that is built to last over the decades and has an appealing design that will have travelers talking.
